When the specifications of the Xbox One were announced, many gamers were unsatisfied with the fact that the included hard drive only had a capacity of 500 GB and it seems that their fears about running out of space were justified.

A report from IGN says that the actual capacity that users are able to access and use is just a little over 360 GB, mainly because the rest is taken up by the interface, the operating system of the gaming console and the new native apps.

The Xbox One also offers no way of managing data on the hard drive and Microsoft says that the limited local storage is being supplemented by allowing players to access the cloud for saves and other content.

The company has also suggested that it will allow hardcore gamers who need more space to use bigger hard drives soon after the console is launched.
