Hackers currently working on the Xbox One next-gen console have managed to dump the NAND data of the new device, taking one step closer to opening up Microsoft's new gaming platform, just like they did with the Xbox 360 many years ago.

While piracy and hacking are a serious problem on the PC platform, both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 encountered similar issues, although to a smaller degree, thanks to hackers who managed to break the systems open.

Now, with the replacements for these consoles rolling out as we speak, hackers have turned their attention to them.

According to KonsolenJunkies, via GearNuke, a few hackers have managed to dump the NAND data for the Xbox One and are currently in the process of uncovering new vulnerabilities within the next-gen console.

As of yet, however, the actual NAND data isn't all that useful for hacking purposes.
