The latest addition to the Xbox One app ecosystem comes in the form of a fresh entertainment venue, the official Comedy Central app.

The app enables Xbox One owners with an Xbox Live membership to watch some of the network's best recent shows, as well as to indulge in binging on the endless fountain of nostalgia with a number of classic shows.

New episodes of some of Comedy Central's current series such as The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, @Midnight and many others will show up in the app for you to enjoy, reportedly the day after they air.

In addition to this, long-running shows such as South Park and The Chappelle Show will also be available through the app, but for the time being it is unclear just how far back the archives will reach, and whether you'll be able to enjoy every season of your favorite classic TV shows.

The Comedy Central app doesn't require an active Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to deliver its comedic goods, and is available as a free download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. However, what you can see through the app will be limited for those who lack a cable television subscription.

Signing in with your TV provider will net you the most content, as well as achievements, because why not?
