Yesterday, we found out that Microsoft acquired the Gears of War franchise and that Black Tusk would be the studio handling the actual development work on the game.

It seems that the company already has clear ideas about some of the features for the next title, which will apparently make use of the Microsoft-made SmartGlass in relation to the Xbox One home console.

A job posting, spotted by Dualshockers, looks for a senior online engineer who has experience with scalable web-based services and with customer applications.

It states, “The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to work side by side with programmers, designers and production staff, and be passionate about owning a reliable high-traffic web application to support console and multi-screen end points.”

Neither Microsoft nor Black Tusk has offered any details on the new Gears of War title for the Xbox One.
