It seems that the development team at EA Sports and platform holder Microsoft are getting ready to launch a closed beta period for the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team mode on the Xbox One on August 21, allowing a limited number of players to test the new features linked to it.

The image was sent to a number of gamers, according to Videogamer, and it seems that only those who have a lot of experience with the features will be able to take part in it.

It’s unclear whether there are plans for a separate testing period for the PlayStation 4 or if Electronic Arts believes that it can get all the feedback it needs before launch from the Microsoft platform.

An official announcement might be made during the Gamescom 2014 press conferences that the two companies will deliver this week.

The interesting thing is that the development team at EA Sports has not yet talked about the new features that will be part of the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 15 but has suggested some important changes when compared to this year’s installment of the football series.

Launch will take place in late September on the Xbox One, the PC, the PlayStation 4, and last-gen consoles.
