Microsoft has confirmed that the used game DRM (Digital Rights Management) restrictions and the 24-hour online check won't come back to the Xbox One next-gen console after launch, lowering the fears of potential customers.

The Xbox One was revealed earlier this year and Microsoft confirmed that, in order to achieve its dream of a digital future, certain restrictions would be in place concerning used games and Internet checks every 24 hours.

This prompted a huge backlash, and the company quickly backtracked on its policy, confirming that a day-one system software update would remove all these restrictions.

In order to ease the worries of potential customers, Microsoft's Marc Whitten has confirmed to fans on Twitter that the restrictions or online checks definitely won't make a comeback.

As such, those who get the Xbox One shouldn't be worried about any other turnarounds in terms of policies from Microsoft.
