The company needs to deploy updates to the new system very fast

John Bruno, the Xbox Live program manager working at Microsoft, says that the new Xbox One Live Compute cloud technology might require updates while players are enjoying a game, which will result in a reboot of the console.

IGameResponsibly is quoting the developer as saying that, “the host OS will require an update, meaning the physical machine is going to get rebooted, whether your code is running or not.”

He admits that this could be a problem for a game machine and says that his team has made sure that the situation appears rarely.

Titanfall is one of the games that will rely on cloud computing to deliver its impressive experience, but Bruno says that he does not know whether reboots will affect the player’s experience.

He adds, “It’s up to the game developer. If they want to rely more on our XBLC service, we’re happy to support that.”

Titanfall will be out in early 2014 on the Xbox One, the PC and the 360.
