The network went offline due to various issues, according to Microsoft

Microsoft has confirmed that it's solved the different connection issues that have affected the Xbox Live online service earlier today, so all gamers should encounter no problems when using it on the Xbox 360.

The Xbox Live service is the backbone of the Xbox 360, and millions of console owners were met with an array of errors when they tried to connect to the online network earlier today.

Microsoft quickly acknowledged these problems and pledged to solve them as soon as possible.

Now, the company has confirmed on its Support website that everything is back online and that no more connection issues should affect Xbox Live users.

"Good news, everyone! If you were experiencing difficulties signing in to your Xbox Live account, we're excited to tell you that this issue has been fixed," the company wrote.

The Xbox Live service is set to receive some major upgrades, including an update that's currently being beta tested, not to mention improvements for the upcoming Xbox One.
