Xbox.com and Xbox Live seem to be down or having limited functionality at best

Microsoft currently seems to be experiencing an outage of some sort, as users in various regions of the world are unable to connect to Xbox.com or to the Xbox Live service.

The news came from The Verge's Tom Warren, who revealed on Twitter that "Xbox.com is down and Xbox Live is experiencing some issues right now."

Several users are reporting that everything is fine and dandy on their end, but Xbox.com does indeed seem to be down in several regions, at least.

As downforeveryoneorjustme points out, the website seems to be down on their end too, so it's definitely a problem somewhere, although isitdownrightnow says that the website is up and reachable.

The data so far seems to be pointing to a regional problem rather than one on a global scale, and furthermore, some users are stating that although part of the service is working, the functionality is still impaired, users not being able to see their friends list.

Microsoft has yet to provide an official reason for the issues experienced, and online tracking services that monitor Xbox Live's status are pointing out to a limited services availability, stating that signing into Xbox Live is currently disabled.
