Xbox boss Phil Spencer has acknowledged a community effort for a Gears of War: Marcus Fenix Collection, in the same vein as Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but he didn't confirm or deny the possibility of such a product.

Halo fans will get a lot of reasons to buy an Xbox One this fall, as 343 Industries and Microsoft are bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection onto the console, which is a special pack that includes Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4.

As you can imagine, this has generated a lot of hype and quite a lot of Xbox One owners have begun to think about other Xbox 360 franchises that could make the jump onto the new console.

Of course, given its popularity, the Gears of War saga is among the top of the wish list, especially since Microsoft now owns the rights to the series.

Some fans have even fleshed out the idea in the form of Gears of War: Marcus Fenix Collection, which could include the first three games in the series that focused on protagonist Marcus Fenix.

While talking with fans on Twitter, Microsoft's Phil Spencer acknowledged these ideas, congratulated fans for their support of the Gears of War franchise, but declined to say if such a project could appear in the future.
