The reveal event for the next generation of home consoles from Microsoft is less than a full week away and it seems that the company itself is looking to add a number of new positions to its internal team.

A job advertisement on the official board is looking for a security-focused developer who would be in charge of the Xbox Live version that is linked to the new hardware.

The team is asking for applicants who have experience with both X86 and ARM architectures, which lends some credibility to rumors that the Xbox 720 has a PC-like structure.

Another position that Microsoft is trying to fill is that of design verification engineer, who needs to have a “Deep understanding of modern PC architecture. In additional key PC chips, experience should include the following: Optical disk drive, Vregs, thermal, firmware testing.”
