4J Studios, the team in charge of the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, says that the much-awaited title update 12 is still in the bug-fixing stage and does not currently have an official launch date.

It states via Twitter that, “@Mw2nuke11 Yes, still bug fixing TU12, making sure that Texture Packs and Mash-up Packs work properly with it :) #MinecraftXBLA”

The process is taking longer than the studio or the fans were initially expecting and a similar announcement was also made during the previous week.

Minecraft started life as a PC game, the most successful indie of the last few years, and the team at Mojang is delivering constant updates to increase the scope of the world.

4J Studios is in charge of taking the new content and then porting it to the Xbox 360 version of the game.
