The development team at Firaxis and publisher 2K Games have announced that they are working on XCOM 2, which is set to pick up the action 20 years after the events of the original title in the series, and now a trailer for the title has also been revealed.

The footage from IGN shows some interesting new enemies and weapons, and it also suggests that gamers will be able to engage them in hand-to-hand combat.

The three minutes of XCOM 2 are very cool for those who love the first reboot, but there's no actual look at gameplay, which will have to wait until the E3 2015 event.

The footage also makes it clear that this is the Advent project previously teased by the company, although there are some elements of it that are not present in the trailer.

Firaxis says that it plans to introduce five new characters classes to the turn-based strategy experience and that there are more customization experiences for the already existing ones.

The studio also claims that it will introduce a much better story to the title and that there are more enemies to battle using the relatively unchanged core combat system.

XCOM 2 will be launched in November of this year, only on the PC.
