Team17 has confirmed that it's bringing the Worms Revolution experience onto the PlayStation Vita later this year, in the form of Worms Revolution Extreme, which brings all sorts of custom features, like cross-game unlocks and compatible save game files between the PS3 and PS Vita versions.

Worms Revolution came out last year for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms, with developer Team17 implementing quite a few new features into the experience, managing to upgrade certain classic elements.

Now, the game is set to appear on the PS Vita in the form of the Worms Revolution Extreme edition.

The title includes all standard missions and puzzles, not to mention the different DLC packs that appeared for it.

There will be three local and online multiplayer modes, in the form of Deathmatch, Forts, and Classic, as well as a novel cross-game unlock system, which gives players access to different treasures once they connect a PS Vita to the PS3 and link their copies of Worms Revolution regular and Extreme.

Last but not least, the game uses the Vita's touchscreen and touchpad, and its save game files can be transferred from the mobile console to the home one.

Worms Revolution Extreme is out in fall and you can check out a few screenshots below, via PS blog.
