Video game developer Wargaming.net has announced that it is launching a Global Alpha stage for World of Warplanes, its MMO that will simulate the most important air battles of World War II and the Korean engagement.

Gamers in North America, Russia and Europe will be able to register for the alpha stage and will play the game while offering feedback to the developers, enabling a better experience when the full version of the MMO launches.

Anton Sitnikau, who is one of the producers working on World of Warplanes, stated, “With the Global Alpha, we are entering a very challenging, important, and exciting phase for World of Warplanes, which will require support of a massive number of testers.”

He added, “Our most important task now is to gather feedback from our test pilots and prepare a well-balanced, stable version with a large amount of vehicles and battle arenas, which we'll be able to enter the beta with.”

World of Warplanes does not currently have a launch date and the Wargaming.net studio is also working on related titles, World Of Tanks and World of Battleships.
