Video game service producer and online game publisher NetEase has announced that it managed to obtain better than expected revenue and profits for the fourth quarter of 2011, which ended in December, powered by the World of Warcraft MMO and by online games Fantasy Westward Journey and Westward Journey Online II.

The profit reported by NetEase has gone up by about 21 percent, reaching 898.6 million Yen for the three-month period, which is the equivalent of about 142.7 million dollars.

In the coming months the company plans to launch expansion for Tang Dynasty, Westward Journey Online II, Warsong of Westward Journey, New Fly For Fun and Legend of Fairy.

It is not clear whether the upcoming expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria, will be quickly launched on the Chinese market or NetEase will wait until 2012 to put the new content out, especially given that it could be considered a little offensive by Chinese censors.
