14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Wargaming announces that its World of Tanks competitive multiplayer title has managed to get 1.1 million gamers online and playing at the same time.
The feat happened on January 19 on Russian servers and the exact concurrent player number currently sits at 1,114,000.
Andrei Yarantasu, the vice president in charge of publishing, tells Ausgamers that, “Tankmen on the Russian servers all play at different times of the day and although their overall number has long since surpassed several million daily active users, the PCCU has been hovering around 900,000 gamers for the past few months.”
The executive believes that the concurrent player number can grow even higher in 2014, as more features are added to the game and more tanks are available for players to try out.
Wargaming is also currently working on World of Warplanes and World of Warships and an Xbox 360 version of World Of Tanks also exists.
