Vertigo Games just released a multiplayer gameplay trailer for their Oculus Rift-enabled online diving game World of Diving.

The game is currently in a pre-alpha state of development, following being recently Greenlit on Steam in September.

Dutch studio Vertigo Games has stated that upon seeing that there is a real interest for their game, “development has really leapt forward,” adding multiplayer co-op missions that their internal testers were so enthusiastic about that they just had to share the gameplay with the world.

Players can start teaming up with their friends on the game's website, customizing and building their characters and unlocking in-game items while they wait for the game's release, and even gain early access to World of Diving and the exclusive in-game rewards.

They can upgrade their Diving level with Diving XP gained from successfully completing missions, participating in community activities and even offering feedback and ideas to help development of the game.

World of Diving is expected to be available on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux, sometime around the second half of 2014.
