Is The Animals' House of the Rising Sun in German with an accordion solo crazy enough?

Bethesda has released the launch trailer for the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order, a first-person shooter that aims to offer a modern take on the classic experience that started the entire first-person shooter genre.

Even if the game turns out to be of a lesser than expected quality, the whole thing is worth it just for the demented soundtrack and imagery, much more disturbing than that of Iron Sky.

The game explores an alternative history, where the protagonist of Wolfenstein 3D, B. J. Blazkowicz, failed to assassinate the Fuhrer and everyone else, and the Nazis won World War II. For the last 14 years, the hero has laid in an asylum, in a catatonic state, only to one day snap out of it and embark on a deadly mission against all odds.

The game takes place during the 1960s, and as the world is ruled by The Third Reich, rock and roll music takes a slightly German tone, as evidenced by the cover of The Animals' House of the Rising Sun audible in the trailer, which sounds much creepier than whatever monsters and technology the Nazis have created since the war.

Wolfenstein: The New Order comes out on May 20 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
