Kalypso Media announces the incoming release of Wings! Remastered Edition, an Amiga classic making a return later this year.

Cinemaware's classic puts you in the shoes of a World War 1 Allied fighter pilot, taking the original gameplay of the arcade hit Wings! and recreating it in HD graphics, but keeping the core flight combat experience intact.

The game challenges players to enter deadly and intense dogfights and take on various bombing missions, and ultimately to survive the end of the Great War. Wings! Remastered Edition features genuine arcade action, focusing on flying and shooting instead of fancy simulation features.

In addition to the remastered visuals, Wings! Remastered Edition also comes with a completely re-recordered orchestral soundtrack.

"Listen up hotshots! It is with great pride that Cinemaware and the 56th Squadron announce this publishing partnership with Kalypso Media. This will help us in our crucial war efforts to bring the experience of Wings! to a much wider audience out there and enlist new pilots for our future campaigns – and that can only be a good thing! Dismissed," says Colonel Farrah, spokesperson for Cinemaware.

Wings! Remastered Edition will become available on PC, Mac, iOS, Android before the end of the year, and later on for the PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Network.
