Nintendo has confirmed the latest official release date for the physical retail version of Wii Fit U in North America, set for release on January 10, 2014.

The game was released in digital form on the Nintendo eShop on November 1, 2013, for both Europe and US, followed by a retail European release on December 13 and a delay for the North American release, originally scheduled during the holidays.

The North American bundle will consist of the Wii Fit U game, a Wii Balance Board and the Fit Meter accessory, all that for $90 / €66.

The two accessories are optional, the Fit Meter retailing for $20 / €15 on its own. Customers who already own a Wii Balance Board can get the Wii Fit U game along with the Fit Meter for $50 / €37.

The Nintendo eShop is hosting a one-month free trial of the full version of Wii Fit U, available until January 31. Downloaders of the trial version will be able to keep the game by buying and syncing a Fit Meter to their Wii U console.
