Nintendo aims to revitalize sales of its home console

Nintendo has announced that it is releasing a new bundle which includes a black Wii home console, a Wii Wheel peripheral and a copy of Mario Kart on November 18, aimed straight at those who re planning to challenge their friends at races this holiday season.

The console included is the new model of the Wii, which stands horizontally and offers the same performance as the other versions but no longer has compatibility with the Game Cube.

Nintendo has seen the sales numbers for the Wii drop during all months of 2011 when compared to last year and releasing a bundle is a good idea of pushing the numbers up, especially when a high profile game like Mario Kart is involved.

The game's multiplayer mode supports up to 12 players at the same time using local Wi-Fi connectivity and reworks the Mario Kart concept and makes it more attractive to modern players.
