Sony and Konami have launched a new ad for the Xperia Play version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 that uses a counterintuitive premise by showing what effect the football game can have on a gamer.

Those who are interested in seeing more of Kristen Schaal in action can watch out for her on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which airs on the Comedy Central, where she often plays the role of Special Correspondent on Women’s Affairs.

PES 2012 was initially launched on the Xbox 360, the PC and the PlayStation 3 in late September of last year and it has performed worse than its main rival, FIFA 12 from EA Sports, mainly because it could not keep up with innovations like the Player Impact Engine.

Those who do not like serious gaming consoles can also pick up Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 on the Android Marketplace for 9.99 dollars and there’s also a version for the various iOS powered devices which uses a freemium business model.
