No Man's Sky completely stole the show when it was first unveiled at VGX 2013, with its mix of exploration, mystery and bright, colorful visuals.

The story of the small indie outfit behind it is quite interesting, revealing how a small team with a big dream laid the foundation of one of the most hyped games of 2015.

It's mind-boggling to think that the team behind Joe Danger is capable of creating such an immersive and attractive experience, and especially since they appeared out of nowhere with the game.

You can see the announcement trailer below, showing a brief glimpse of the universe that players will be able to explore later this year.

The game's idea was sparked by Hello Games' love of science fiction novels, and follows the journey of space explorers on a mission to reach the center of the galaxy, set in a huge, procedurally generated universe where they will be able to discover amazing new planets and life forms.

Gamers will be able to harvest resources, upgrade their ship, and cooperate with other players in order to complete their goal.

No Man's Sky is coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system later this year, as a timed exclusive, and will also be released on PC later on.
