The power of rock and roll is at least over 9000 here

Dark Souls is usually considered to be a difficult game, bordering on impossible for some, and the pinnacle of masterful coordination for others.

Well, it seems that some gamers see its physically demanding gameplay as more of a challenge to use the worst kind of controller you could possibly use.

Instead of enhancing the precision of their input in order to dodge, block and slash away at the gruesome enemies inside From Software’s role-playing game, some users decided that the wonkiness of some bongos and a Rock Band controller is the perfect tool to sate their thirst for punishment.

Granted, the bongos were no ordinary musical instruments, but instead Nintendo GameCube controllers created to be used with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and the Donkey Konga series, which makes them highly qualified to be used when battling Ornstein and Smough.

And playing it with a Rock Band controller just goes to show that everything is possible when you don’t feel the need to play other games as well. In any case, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai would be hard-pressed to slay any demons with their tools of the trade, let alone some of Dark Souls’ hardest bosses.

The only thing missing here is Val Hallen, the Viking God of Rock from The Justice Friends.
