Developer Privateer Press Interactive is launching a Kickstarter effort for a new PC game called Warmachine: Tactics, which will deliver a tactical battle experience to the PC based on the miniatures game of the same name.

The player will take control of one of the Warcasters, who have mastered magical powers and the arts of war while also gaining the ability to command Warjacks, ten-ton mechanical warriors.

Gamers will be able to join Khador, a kingdom looking for conquest, Cygnar, the tech leaders, Protectorate of Menoth, fanatical fighters, and Cry, built by undead.

The battles in Warmachine: Tactics will use squads of units and a turn-based structure. Privateer Press Interactive will have both a single-player campaign and synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer.

Warmachine: Tactics has already managed to raise more than 80 percent of the 550,000 dollars (390,000 Euro) it needs to complete development.

The video that the development team has created shows some pretty impressive battles.
