The development team at Eugen Systems and publisher Focus Home Interactive are delivering the first official screenshots taken from their new project, Wargame: Red Dragon, which will expand the timeline of the strategy game.

Players will be able to experience a series of conflicts that have taken place in Asia between 1975 and 1991 and a number of fantasy scenarios using the most important powers of the region.

The team states, “5 new nations, among which China and North Korea, join the armed forces in Wargame, with over 450 new units. The introduction of naval and amphibian units is a particular highlight, with the maritime and river areas providing fresh strategic opportunities!”

NATO and Warsaw Pact nations from AirLand Battle will still be available for multiplayer matches, but they will not receive a complement of new units when Red Dragon is launched.

The two companies have not yet offered a launch window for the new title.
