The World War II military action wargame has more than 5 million players

Gaijin Entertainment announced the introduction of a new array of tanks to the second wave of the closed beta test for their upcoming War Thunder expansion, Ground Forces.

Gaijin Entertainment is the developer of War Thunder and Star Conflict, and while aerial combat has already been covered, their Ground Forces expansion seeks to bring terrestrial warfare to its fans.

The game seeks to present an elaborate simulation of World War II warfare conditions, and will now offer 9 more tanks for combatants to use, as well a as a new challenging map, the Kuban.

For the USSR, the additional tanks are KV-2 1939, IS-1, T-34 1942, T-34-85 (D-5T) and SU-85.

Germany players will be able to choose from the new PzKpfw III Ausf.M, PzKpfw IV Ausf.H, Jagdpanzer IV (L48) and PzKpfw VI Ausf.H1.

War Thunder is in open beta for the PC and PlayStation 4, and currently in development for Mac OS and Oculus Rift.
