14 DAY TRIAL // Mark Darin, a writer on The Walking Dead: Season Two, says that the creation of Clementine allowed Telltale Games to explore types of relationships between characters that a mature male protagonist could not have delivered.
In a wider interview with PC Gamer, the developer explains that, “I think part of the core of this whole game, too, is making her the opposite of a space Marine. So, she doesn’t have different guns. She doesn’t have special powers.”
The Telltale Games team also credits the performance of actress Melissa Hutchinson as one of the main reasons that many gamers have created a personal connection with Clementine.
The Second Season of The Walking Dead focuses entirely on her and on the choices she has to make during the undead apocalypse.
The studio refused to comment on the link between Omid and Clementine in the coming story.
