Mike Bithell, the creator of Thomas Was Alone, announces that his new project is called Volume and will offer a stealth-based experience that mixes elements taken from Minecraft and Metal Gear Solid.

Apparently, the game will be launched in 2014 and the platforms on which it will arrive have not yet been decided.

Bithell has been working on Volume for about seven months and players will have to avoid guards as they go around stealing items in a huge number of environments.

His team includes some new artists and composer David Housden.

Some of the content in the game will be created directly by the players, although no clear details on how that will work have been offered.

After a level is re-mixed by the community, it can be shared again with fans, allowing the players to basically create the version of Volume they like best.
