The Boondock Saints movie franchise is set to get a video game adaptation soon, as a new report pretty much confirms that such a title is coming from Austin, Texas-based developer Critical Mass Interactive.

The Boondock Saints was a cult classic movie from the 1990s, which received a sequel back in 2009, called The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day.

Now, it seems that the series will get a new iteration, in the form of an actual video game.

According to Joystiq, flyers with details about the game have started appearing around Austin, Texas, in preparation for its reveal during the ScreenBurn Arcade portion of the SXSW festival.

Austin-based Critical Mass Interactive develops the game and is already displaying on its website the image above.

The panel will also be attended by actors from the two movies, including one of the two Boondock Saints, Norman Reedus, who plays Murphy MacManus.

Expect to hear some official details in the near future.
