It seems that the official closure of LucasArts as a first-party developer has opened the floodgates and sources from the company are eager to talk about the projects they were working on and will now probably never see the light of day.

Footage of a new project, called Version Two, which the team apparently wanted to turn into Star Wars: Battlefront III at one point, is emerging, thanks to AllGamesBeta.

The game seems to be focused on vehicle-based combat, including iconic machines like the X-Wing, the AT-AT walker, the TIE fighter, hoverbikes.

The quality of the graphics shows that Version Two was clearly a work in progress, but there's real potential linked to the gameplay shown.

Disney has already said that Star Wars will now only be used for third-party development projects.
