A new indie fighter game called “Vanguard Princess” from ex-Capcom staffer Tomoaki is currently gathering votes on Steam.

The game features a young girl that has been a lab rat for the government, leading to a cosmic shock wave that gave other girls similar mystical powers. Her desire for revenge will trigger the action of the game as she wants to destroy the world.

Players will have to choose from ten different girls, each having its own unique power and fighting skills and pair them with a powerful partner to make their own unstoppable team. You will get the chance to play in Story Mode or take on head-to-head battles in Versus Mode.

The English Version of the indie game was released back in February for PC and was made available for Gamersgate, Onlive and Amazon. It seems that Vanguard Princess received quite a lot of good feedback and as a result players wanted it on Steam.

Because of the popular demand from the Greenlight community, the developers have promised to release an uncensored version or free game patch on Steam for anyone that is interested.

By obtaining Steam release, the developing team will have the game's debut on Linux and Mac as well as various features like Steamworks and even SteamOS support.

More information on the fighter can be found on Vanguard Princess official website.
