The PlayStation Portable title Valkyria Chronicles 3 just got an English translation from some fans, packed up in a nice patch that is now freely downloadable.

The Valkyria Chronicles 3 Fan Translation Project has been an active development process ever since early 2012, intending to fully translate all the script and build a patch inserting the localization directly into the game.

The patch is compatible with the Valkyria Chronicles 3: Extra Edition, requiring at least 4GB of free space on the users' computers as well as the ability to install custom firmware for the PSP.

The creators warn that on rare occasions, the text has some formatting issues and may spill over the dialogue boxes, but they assure interested fans that they are working on solving these issues.

Valkyria Chronicles 3 is the third installment in the tactical role-playing franchise, featuring darker themes than its predecessors.

The download as well as installation instructions can be located on the Valkyria Chronicles 3 Fan Translation Project webpage.
