A new video has just rolled out for Ultra Street Fighter 4, showing the combat arsenal of another future addition, this time the Capcom spotlight shining on Elena, the fearsome capoeira fighter who first made an appearance in Street Fighter III: New Generation.

The video serves as an introduction to the new character Elena, a powerful brawler skilled in the art of Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art with an interesting history, mixing together powerful blows and acrobatic dance moves, made famous in the gaming world by Tekken’s Eddy Gordo, even though its first apparition was in the Fatal Fury series.

The video shows Elena’s flashy moves, based mainly on highly acrobatic kicks, also featuring her healing move, a Super and Ultra Combo finisher, with the usual Japanese commentary from Tomoaki Ayano, the fighting game’s producer.

Elena is one of five characters to be added to the fighting game’s roster of mighty martial artists, together with Hugo, Poison, Rolento and a mystery brawler, an undisclosed fifth female warrior that has never been featured in the series before.

Capcom plans to launch the upgrade to Street Fighter 4 in April, in Japanese arcades, followed by a June release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms and a later PC one in August.
