Gamers are interested in the extra power of the devices

One of the leading executives at video game publisher Ubisoft says that pre-orders linked to the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft are higher for titles like Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag than on the current generation of devices.

This might be a sign that gamers are no longer interested in picking up titles for the consoles they already have access to and are willing to wait until November to play on new hardware.

Alain Corre, who leads the European division of Ubisoft, is not yet willing to say whether overall pre-orders for the fourth Assassin’s Creed game are bigger than those seen for the third game in the franchise, according to MCV.

Activision has recently revealed that some gamers are uncertain about future platforms and that means a lower overall pre-order figure for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Both Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV will be launched in the fall.
