The development team working on Tom Clancy’s The Division at the Massive studio at Ubisoft says that it is carefully creating a number of solid mechanics for the end game section in order to make sure that players remain interested in the long term.

Ryan Bernard, a developer at the team, tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “Player retention is very important. We want the Division to be potentially limitless, unlimited gameplay, but the specifics of how we’re doing that, we’re saving – we have a long time to talk about that stuff.”

The Division will be launched in the final quarter of 2014 on both current and next-gen consoles.

The game is designed to mix massive online elements, role-playing mechanics and action sections and will challenge the player with creating a role in an organization that deals with a major traumatic event.
