We reported last week on Ubisoft’s teaser for Might & Magic X, but we thought the company would announce another online game.

Well, the good news is that things are completely different, and Ubisoft will indeed continue the classic RPG Might & Magic saga that ended with the ninth installment a long time ago.

The bad news is that fans of the genre will have to wait a bit longer, as the game is scheduled for release later this year. Now the facts.

The next installment in the RPG series is called Might & Magic Legacy and is developed by German studio Limbic Entertainment. These are the same guys that made Might & Magic Heroes VI Danse Macabre DLC.

According to Ubisoft, Might & Magic X Legacy will be “an authentic solo experience in the classic first-person RPG genre.”

“Through a turn-based gameplay system, defeat creatures and bosses to accomplish unique quests and make your way through dangerous dungeons, cities and labyrinths full of traps. Dive into vintage Might & Magic and play old school, new rules!” Could it be the real thing?
