Video game publisher Activision has released a new trailer for the just announced Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, which is designed as “cinematic”, meaning that it offers a small glimpse into the narrative of the game without offering any real look at the gameplay.

Fall of Cybertron will be created by High Moon Studios and will expand on the mechanics and the features seen in War for Cybertron, also showing how the Autobots end up on Earth.

Until now Optimus Prime, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Shockwave, Megatron, Starscream, Vortex, Bruticus and Bumblebee have been confirmed as characters and the Dinobots are also set to make an appearance.

The developers are able to create a unique story that does not need to be associated with other products that use the same game universe.

No new movie using the characters has been officially announced.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be launched on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 at some point during 2012.
