It seems that fans of the Transformers franchise will soon have another video game experience based on the series to enjoy, called Devastation, which is designed to allow gamers to once against take control of a variety of characters as they battle Megatron and his Decepticons.

The reveal comes from an official retailer page that was captured by AllGamesBeta, showing a title that will include a new take on the core elements of the franchise, with robot to vehicle combat, slam downs, more combos, and extra story content.

Activision will handle publishing duties for Transformers Devastation, but the company has not yet officially confirmed the existence of the video game, although apparently Platinum Games will once again develop the experience.

It seems that the story of the title will be based around Megatron's attempt to cyberform Earth using plasma energy, which only the Autobots can stop.

Gamers will be able to choose between characters including Optimus Prime, Bubblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock.

The combat system has been re-designed to give players more control, and for each Autobot more customization options are offered.

Transformers Devastation will include five difficulty levels.

It seems that the game will also include voice work from Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime), Dan Gilvezan playing Bubblebee, Frank Welker as Megatron and Soundwave, and other actors from the animated series.
