The development team at The Creative Assembly is aiming to emphasize the historical side of its total War: Rome II with a new documentary that focuses on The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, one of the biggest military defeats of the era.

The footage mixes footage of experts giving their opinion on the events with a detailed recreation of the combat that took place between Roman Legions and Germanic tribes.

Bettany Hughes, Mike Loades, Lynette Nusbacher and Dr. Adrian Goldsworthy are the historians that have worked with the team to ensure as much realism as possible.

The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest saw three Roman Legions wiped out and hastened the rate at which tribes began attacking the Empire.

Total War: Rome II is set to soon get more DLC from the studio and will also continue to receive balance patches that will improve the gameplay experience.
