The development team at The Creative Assembly announces that the Caesar in Gaul campaign expansion for Total War: Rome II is being delayed to December 17 in order to give the company more time to polish the patch that will be launched at the same time.

The studio says that it wants to improve the core game experience as much as possible for all those who have bought the strategy experience and that it's more important to work on the patch than launch the DLC soon, according to VG247.

Caesar in Gaul will introduce a new campaign that focuses on the period during which the noted Roman leader fought to subdue the various tribes in the area and changes many of the game mechanics.

Three new Celtic factions are added to the game and players who want to experience the new Caesar in Gaul content will have to pay for it on launch.
