Total War: Rome 2 is one of the most eagerly expected video games of the year and the teams at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are rising the expectations of players via a new video that takes a detailed look at the battle that took place in the Teutoburg forest.

The historical engagement is known for the way Roman legions allowed themselves to be ambushed by Germanic tribes without deploying the tactical acumen that characterized their approach to war.

All Roman soldiers were killed during the battle and the retreat and many point to it as the start of the decline of the Empire.

The developer walkthrough talks about the various game features seen in the video of the Teutoburg battle.

Total War: Rome 2 is set to arrive exclusively on the PC in October of this year.
