Another game is soon coming to SteamOS and it is called Total War: ROME II. The announcement was made today by Rob Bartholomew at Creative Assembly.

He said “at Creative Assembly we want our customers to be able to play on as many platforms and in as many locations as possible, so today we are announcing future support for both SteamOS and the Steam Controller.”

They wanted to make this transition for quite a long time but, due to certain hardware limitations, it was not possible. Fortunately, last month, the guys from Valve invited them to test out the new Steam Controller and talked about their plans for SteamOS.

It seems that the meeting was a productive one, Bartholomew being quite excited by the fact that they will be able to give gamers the chance to experience ROME II in their living rooms, instead of just with their keyboard and mouse.

One must know that Total War is the second game that receives official support. The first one was Metro: Last Night.

For those who might not know the game, it is a single-player first-person shooter, the anticipated sequel to Metro 2033. The game was confirmed for Steam OS Support on November 5.
