The development team at The Creative Assembly and SEGA are getting ready to launch a new The Last Roman Campaign downloadable content for Total War: Attila on June 25, and a new video from the two companies is designed to show gamers the core new mechanics of the DLC.

There's almost an hour of footage to get through, with the community team from the studio talking about the core new ideas and how they will transform the core design.

The biggest new element of The Last Roman for Total War: Attila is the fact that the Roman faction is based around the remaining forces in the East, which send only Belisarius and a small expedition to conquer Western Europe.

Gamers will basically have to fulfill missions for the Emperor Justinian and his court to get troops and other resources, focused on taking territory and on defeating certain enemy forces.

Belisarius was a very capable military commander, but gamers will be hard-pressed to take back all the original lands of the Roman Empire.

There are also four barbarian kingdoms, each with its own set of units and characteristics, that will stand in the way of the reborn faction.

The Last Roman for Total War: Attila will be out on the PC on June 25.
