The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are launching a new Total War Academy for fans of the strategy series, in order to give them a set of solid principles on which they can build their own winning moves in both single and multiplayer battles.

The first episode of the series is called The Rules of Battle and the footage focuses on the way armies approach a confrontation and how the player needs to have a solid understanding of effects and terrain in order to be successful.

At the moment, The Creative Assembly is working on Total War: Arena, the new multiplayer-focused experience that aims to deliver massive battles for players, with communication and solid coordination required for victory.

The company is also set to introduce more content for Total War: Attila before the end of the year, although it is not clear whether the focus is on more paid DLC or something like the Emperor Edition for Total War: Rome II is being built.

The Creative Assembly has also revealed that a Warhammer fantasy experience based on the principles of the strategy series is in development, although it has not offered too many details about its core features.
