The upcoming MMO is set to be a proper next-gen shooter

A new screenshot from Tom Clancy's The Division has emerged, showing an agent in a rather tight spot, stranded on a rooftop under heavy enemy fire.

The new screen is unfortunately not much, it doesn't show any new stuff, not weapons, characters or locations, just a rather hairy situation from Massive Entertainment's upcoming open world massively multiplayer online shooter, The Division.

The game is shaping up to be very impressive on the visual front, and the big surprise is that it's built on Massive Entertainment's very own Snowdrop Engine.

The image is similar to the previously revealed ones, but nonetheless stunning, and it has been shared via The Division's official Twitter page, asking players what would they do in a similar situation.

In addition to showing the agent's predicament, the image also shows off some of the light destruction elements that were flaunted about earlier by Game Director Ryan Barnard.

"We're a Clancy RPG, so tactical combat is important and at our core we're a cover based combat game. So covers will all be destructible either from a small bit to being completely destroyed," Barnard shared.

The Division promises to deliver a genuinely next-gen experience with much more features than just prettier visuals on a snappier engine, but it remains to be seen how the various online interactions will be implemented in the final game.
