The upcoming Titanfall from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts will reportedly use a system called Generations to offer a multiplayer level up experience similar to that of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Prestige classes.

A NeoGAF thread says that the description for the mechanics was offered in the official beta that has just concluded.

The text reads, “Warning! You will lose all that you have unlocked and be reset to level 1. All challenges will be reset.

Years of battle have taken their toll. We can regenerate you… at a cost. Your body can be restored. But your memory and your experience…all will be lost. When you awaken you will respawn a [next level] generation Pilot. You will be better, sharper, acquiring experience even faster than before.”

It seems that gamers can regenerate up to ten times during their Titanfall career.

The shooter will be out on March 11 in the US and two days later in the EU on the Xbox One and the PC and those who want to play on the 360 will have to wait for another two weeks.
