The two modes will have better matches between players

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it's just added the improved matchmaking mechanic to the Attrition and Hardpoint modes, so players should be able to experience much better matches when playing in these two game types.

Titanfall impressed many people with its multiplayer-only first-person shooter experience, giving users the chance to play on all sorts of maps and quite a few different modes.

Unfortunately, the matchmaking system wasn't the best, as it emphasized connection speed over skill, often matching up low-level players against high-level ones.

In an effort to remedy this issue, Respawn launched an improved matchmaking system as a beta in the game and has now rolled it out for two of the five modes: Attrition and Hardpoint Domination

"Thanks to everyone who played in our Improved Matchmaking Beta during the last week. As of tonight you'll notice that option is no longer in the menu. We've updated Attrition and Hardpoints modes (non-Campaign) with improved matchmaking, so you'll be playing it automatically," the studio said on its website.

Respawn noted on Twitter that the matchmaking process will take a bit longer to complete but the actual matches will be much better, so the tradeoff is worth it.

The other modes, Capture the Flag, Last Titan Standing, and Pilot Hunter, will get the improved matchmaking system soon enough.
