Fans shouldn't wait for a Titanfall 1 on PS4, apparently

Respawn Entertainment, the developer of Titanfall, has confirmed that its future plans include support for the PlayStation 4 console but, unfortunately, there's nothing planned for Sony's console in the short term.

Titanfall launched this spring for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and due to an exclusivity deal between the game's publisher, Electronic Arts, and Microsoft, the title isn't going to appear on the PS4 or PS3.

However, Respawn Entertainment still has much love for the PS4 and it's certainly going to support the platform in the future with other possible games. However, owners of the console shouldn't hope for a potential release of Titanfall 1 on the PS4, as it won't work with the platform in the short term.

"Well, we love the [PS4] and we love playing on it. As we go forward, we will of course consider all of the platforms that make sense for our games. So there's nothing in the short term, but certainly PS4 is something we're looking at in the future," Respawn COO Dusty Welch told CVG.

Rumors about a Titanfall 2 have already started floating around the internet and it's safe to assume that Respawn and EA don't want to exclude the PS4 from the next game, especially since its sales are booming.
